Lymphoma - nature?

Approximately half of all cancers of blood fall into the category of lymphoma. It is a cancer of the lymph cells of the body, which are an important part of the immune system of the body. Leukemia, another blood apparatus that can appear in the lymph cells, cancer is related to, but distinct from Lymphoma several ways. Leukemia is actually a range of disorders that generally affects blood cells into circulation or the bone marrow where they are produced. The result is an overproduction of blood cells or cells that are malformed production.

Lymphoma is different. It usually appears as a tumor, an enlargement or agglomeration of cells which takes a massive solid. These tumors may develop in different ways, but lymph nodes are a common site. As mentioned previously, lymphoma tumors may develop differently, leading to a somewhat puzzling disease classification system. Overall, however, there are two types: non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Hodgkin's lymphoma is so named because it was discovered by Thomas Hodgkin in the 1830s. This is a cancer of the lymphatic system in which malignant cells gradually but steadily spread throughout the lymphatic system. They move methodically lymph nodes, lymph node creating tumor masses. In General, the treatment consists of chemotherapy, but this depends on age of the patient, the stage of cancer and how healthy otherwise it.

Lymphoma non-Hodgkin is less right-forward when it comes to classification. There a few different attempts to build a consistent taxonomy of cancer, each of them was replaced by a newer system. The current, developed by the World Health Organization is based on the type of cell that is done. For example, it is question of whether a T cell and B cell (these are the two parts of the immune system).

This is not simple scientific disputes. The type of this cancer can mean large discrepancies in the treatment applied to the patient. Some types of lymphoma are so passive they have not much risk for the patient, although not disturbed by the medicine on the left. Other types of spread with a relentless aggression that quickly leads to death. The two types of lymphoma have similar symptoms: mysterious fever, sweating, or chills at night inexplicable fatigue. This is wave of evils that share their lack of acuity suffering from leukemia. A trip to the doctor after long periods of symptoms is usually prevents people to their condition.

The causes of lymphoma are somewhat mysterious, even if there is a link to the disease of the immune system. If you have HIV or Epstein - Barr virus you are at an increased risk of developing lymphoma. There are many other markers of risk including age, sex, family history and the environment. It appears as the best one can do is try to lead a healthy life and avoid preventable infections such as HIV. Otherwise, there is little one can do actively to prevent this disease to have good luck.
